Most delivery problems are not coding problems. They are the days lost to a manual release, the bug that only appears in production, and the deploy script that lives on one person’s laptop.
What is delivered
- A CI/CD pipeline. Every change is built and tested automatically. Code quality scans and image vulnerability scans run before release.
- Containers. The application packaged so it runs the same way everywhere, with Kubernetes when the system needs orchestration.
- Infrastructure as code. Servers and networks described in Terraform and Ansible, so an environment can be rebuilt from the repository.
- Monitoring and alerts. Metrics in Prometheus, dashboards in Grafana and alerts for conditions that need a person.
- Documentation, so your own team can run and change all of it.
How an engagement runs
- Review. We read how code reaches production today and where it breaks.
- Fixed scope and price. We list what will change and agree the price before starting.
- Milestones. Pipeline first, then environments, then monitoring. Each milestone is something you can run yourself.
- Handover. The pipeline code, the infrastructure code and a walk-through.
Work to look at
- A CI/CD hub built around Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus and Trivy.
- A DevOps-as-a-service platform with Terraform, Ansible and Jenkins carrying out deployments on virtual machines or Kubernetes.
- Monitoring on Azure Stack Hub, with Python exporters, Prometheus and Grafana, built for a Microsoft cloud partner.
These are listed in our founder’s portfolio. For a product we run ourselves, see the energy platform.
