Custom Software Development

Business platforms, internal tools and APIs built around how your team actually works, owned outright rather than rented from a SaaS vendor.

What this includes

Most businesses reach a point where off-the-shelf software stops fitting. The workarounds accumulate — a spreadsheet beside the CRM, a person whose job is copying data between two systems, a process everyone knows is wrong but nobody can change because the tool will not allow it.

Custom software is worth building at exactly that point, and rarely before it.

When it makes sense

When the process is your advantage. If how you operate is genuinely different from your competitors, software that forces you into a generic workflow costs you the thing that makes you good.

When the subscription maths stops working. Per-seat pricing is cheap at five users and punitive at fifty. Owned software has a build cost and then a maintenance cost, and the second one does not scale with headcount.

When integration is the actual problem. Often the tools are fine individually and the gap between them is where the work disappears. That gap is usually cheaper to close than either tool is to replace.

When it does not

If a well-supported product already does the job, buy it. We will say so. There is no version of this where building something bespoke to replicate an existing product is the economical answer.

How we build

Fixed scope, milestone delivery, and a working system you can see at each milestone rather than a demo at the end. You own the repository and the data. There is no lock-in, because there is nothing to lock you into.
